Home Planet collaborated with community organizers to create an initiative that amplifies grassroots movements for social change.
The pandemic lockdown exposed the housing and opioid crisis in Toronto. Many members of our communities became houseless, and opioid-related deaths have increased by almost 40%.
Home Planet mobilized our client Welcome Cannabis to collaborate with local chefs and outreach programs to help provide FEED & WEED relief to encampment residences and donate a healthy meal to someone in need.

Bring Purpose To Life
We developed close relationships with volunteer networks to provide support and advocacy. We collected monetary donations and non-perishable goods to create hot meals and provide clean and safe cannabis use as a harm reduction measure.

Intelligent Empathy
Cannabis can be used as a form of harm reduction, but Cannabis found in the black market is at risk of being laced with other substances, including fentanyl. We partnered with our suppliers for donations of safe, legal Cannabis, to be provided through outreach programs.

Leveraging Relationships to Create Social Change
To provide hundreds of hot meals, we partnered with local restaurants and chefs to share their kitchens and prepare meals; and bike messengers volunteers to deliver to the outreach programs.
