This project was a collaboration between Home Planet, BOMA Canada and MicroHabitat to tell the story of urban farming through a documentary-style, cinematic approach.

The goal was to establish MicroHabitat as an authentic voice in the movement: showing how underutilized urban spaces can be transformed into revenue-generating, impact-driven ecosystems, while raising awareness and building greater public and industry support for urban agriculture.

Working within Canada's restrictive cannabis marketing landscape, Home Planet conceived and produced an experiential marketing and content campaign for Nith & Grand, guided by an authentic narrative that speaks to the conscious consumer.

Named for the two rivers running through the heartland of Ontario, the campaign brought the Nith & Grand brand to life through the people and place it draws its name from, creating a thoughtful, adventure driven experience centred on unrivalled cannabis experiences.

Through character driven storytelling, influencer collaborations, and journalistic, cinematic content, Home Planet framed the Nith & Grand brand within a new context: one that is joyful, responsible, and caring, rooted in friendship and community. Central to this was the experience of fly fishing, an incredible practice that invites a deep sense of calm, wonder, and connection to nature, teaching patience, humility, and presence in the natural flow of life.

"The Bioregions" is a documentary series following the change-makers, innovators, and community leaders working to build resilience and sustainability in the face of a changing planet. Grey County, Ontario, which has declared a climate emergency, anchors the first chapter of the series, with future installments set to highlight bioregions across Canada and the US.

The goal is to capture stories of communities reimagining what's possible: confronting the challenges of climate change, industrial agriculture, and migration, while showcasing the collective action, imagination, and leadership shaping a regenerative future that can serve as a blueprint for communities everywhere.

Welcome Cannabis launched in 2020 as a next generation cannabis brand built on purpose over product. In an oversaturated Ontario market where every retailer sold largely the same thing, Home Planet helped Welcome Cannabis stand apart through purpose driven curation.  The store championed small, independent, and regenerative producers over larger conglomerates, curating brands that were female and BIPOC led, socially motivated, and medicinal grade. A dedicated budtender training program turned staff into knowledgeable brand ambassadors, while a take out window, doubling as a DJ booth, kept service safe during closures.

Home Planet led creative direction, branding, and the design of the Dundas West location, a welcoming space built during a pandemic and climate crisis.

Beyond retail, Welcome Cannabis extended its values into the community through grassroots initiatives like Feed & Weed and Cloud Club, supporting local makers, artists, and encampment residents with meals and harm reduction.
